A quality checklist for research peptide suppliers

Ten checks to run before you buy research peptides: company identity, batch-specific COAs, independent testing, labelling, cold chain and clear terms.

The research peptide market ranges from serious suppliers to anonymous resellers with copied lab reports. These ten checks separate them. Use them on any supplier, including us.

1. A real, identifiable company

The site should name the legal company, its registration number and address. Anonymous sellers cannot be held to anything.

2. A COA for every batch, not one for the brand

One old report used for every order proves nothing about your vial. Look for a separate report per batch, with the batch number and test date.

3. The batch number on the vial matches the COA

This is the only link between the paper and the powder. If the vial has no batch number, the COA cannot apply to it.

4. An independent, named laboratory

A third-party lab with a name and address you can check is better than an in-house test. Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 is a strong sign.

5. Identity and purity, both tested

Purity by HPLC alone is not enough; identity needs mass spectrometry. See how to read a COA.

6. Clear specifications

The product page should state the amount per vial, the form (lyophilised powder), the CAS number, the molecular formula and weight, and the storage conditions.

7. Packaging and cold chain

Lyophilised peptides are fairly robust, but heat and moisture still degrade them. Insulated packaging with cold packs is a sign the supplier cares about what arrives. See storing lyophilised peptides.

8. Honest positioning

A research supplier states clearly that its products are for research use only and does not give dosing advice. Sellers who promise health results for an unapproved compound are a red flag.

9. Transparent pricing

Prices per vial and per mg should be visible before checkout, with shipping costs stated up front.

10. Clear terms and support

Look for terms of sale, a refund policy, a privacy policy and a working support email.

How R3TA does it

R3TA publishes its company details in the footer, prints the batch number on every vial, publishes a COA for every batch, ships cold-packed in plain boxes and shows the price per mg on every pack.

Research use only. All products are sold strictly for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use, not a medicine, food or cosmetic. Buyers must be 18 or older.
